Corporate 5K : United Way of Tri-County
The Corporate 5K is a community road race held in Marlborough on Thursday, June 4 at the Marlborough Community Cupboard, 255 Main Street. The event is a 5K run/walk that brings together company teams and individual participants to support United Way programs across the MetroWest/495 region, including hunger relief, early literacy, and suicide prevention.
Teams may compete for overall team awards. Team scoring is based on the cumulative time of the top two male and top two female finishers from each team; a team must contain at least four members to be eligible for team scoring. Prizes and recognitions include fastest team of four (two male and two female), top male and top female finishers, best T-shirt design, and largest team.
Registration carries a fee of $35, increasing to $40 on race day. Fundraising is optional and participants can create fundraising pages to support United Way programs. The event program includes music, food, awards, and, for participants aged 21 and over, craft beer from Lost Shoe Brewing & Roasting Co. with a portion of beer sales donated to United Way.
Sponsors for the event include local and regional organizations such as St. Mary’s Credit Union, Hologic, TJX, Steris, and others, who support the race and related activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
