Cornfest 5K

The Cornfest 5K is an annual running and walking event held in Barker, New York. The 2026 edition marks the fifth year of the event, which raises funds in support of the Barker Central School musical department. The race takes place in Village Park, with the course starting and finishing near the intersection of Quaker Road and Main Street.

The event features a 5 km course that is USATF certified. Participants can choose to run or walk the distance. Packet pickup is located at the Barker Public Library on the morning of the event. All participants who register by the July deadline are guaranteed an official event t-shirt. The event uses electronic RFID timing to provide real-time results, which are available through mobile applications, on-site monitors, and online platforms.

Following the completion of the race, a celebration is held at the local gazebo. This post-race gathering includes light food, snacks, and an awards ceremony. Free parking is available for all participants near the start and finish line area.
