The event is a community running program in Crown Point, Indiana, finishing on the Corn Dogs baseball field at Crown Point Babe Ruth / Legacy Fields. The finish takes place on the field and includes post-race provisions tied to the baseball game that day.
Race entries include one complimentary ticket to that day's game, one free corn dog from the concession stand provided by Sonic Drive-In, and one beverage. Adults 21 and over receive a complimentary beer from Off Square Brewing; participants under 21 receive a soft drink. The mini fun run for ages 4 to 12 includes a run around the bases with a team mascot, a game ticket, a corn dog, and a soft drink.
Awards are given for Overall Male and Female and Masters Male and Female. Age-group awards are presented 1st through 3rd in the following groups: 8 and under; 9-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. A shoe prize will be awarded by drawing during the game.
Strollers are not permitted on the field finish to protect the turf. Dogs are not allowed on the course or at the finish for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
