Core Sound Run - Harkers Island, NC

Core Sound Run is a multi-day event centered on Harkers Island with in-person and virtual options. The in-person portion is held at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and begins and ends "at the end of the road" at the edge of Core Sound. The event includes several distance options:

Long sleeve t-shirts are provided to each 5K and 10K participant; registration by the end of day March 19 guarantees a chosen shirt size. Prizes are awarded for overall winners and by age group in the 5K and 10K races. The overall grand prize per age group is a collectible decoy, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes are given within each age category. Age groups listed include 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, and 75+.

Early packet pickup is available on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Core Sound Museum Store, 806 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC. The event timing is provided by Run The East, LLC. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
