Corduroy Crush
The Corduroy Crush is an annual Nordic skiing event held in Girdwood, Alaska. Organized by the Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm (KMTA) National Heritage Area and the Girdwood Nordic Ski Club, the event takes place on the 5K Nordic Loop. This location is situated approximately 45 minutes from Anchorage, adjacent to the Alyeska Resort. Participants can access the venue via the Arlberg parking lot or Parking Lot A.
The event features three distinct activities centered around cross-country skiing. Participants are permitted to use either classic or skate skiing techniques for any of the scheduled segments. A single registration fee allows entry into all available formats on the day of the event.
The specific distances and event formats include:
- 2 km Snowball Biathlon
- 5 km Timed Race
- 2x2x2 Relay
The competition is divided into age categories for adults (18+), youth (13-17), and children (12 and under). Registration is available online in advance or on-site on the morning of the event at the Nordic 5k Trailhead.
