Cirque Series Alyeska, AK
The Alyeska race on July 25, 2026 is a mountain trail event at Alyeska Resort featuring a single course of 6.1 miles with 3,912 feet of elevation gain. The route begins near sea level at the DayLodge and follows Tanaka Cat Service Road into the resort lower bowl before joining the Silvertip single track.
From Silvertip the route ascends Center Ridge, a steep scramble that continues to Teacup Bowl and reaches the Headwall at about 3,800 feet. The Headwall ridge section includes short climbs and descents and then drops gradually to roughly 3,300 feet at the Max weather station. The descent proceeds through loose rock and mountain heather into Max’s Mountain trail, which passes through hemlock and spruce forest with mossy fallen trees and loamy soil before returning to Tanaka Cat Road and the DayLodge finish.
The course is marked with flagging and has marshal directions for safety. Organizers note the course may be adjusted as necessary. Every competitor must inspect Center Ridge before race day and a strict cut-off applies at the beginning of Center Ridge: 50 minutes. Entry is capped at 600 runners. Registration categories historically include Sport, Expert and Pro with approximate distribution of 58%, 36% and 6% respectively.
Each competitor receives a snapback, a giveaway ticket, a logoed bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag and free professional race photos. Cirque Series merchandise is available at an on-site booth. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
