Cooper's Hawk Wine Run 5K
The event is a chip timed 5k run and walk held at Cooper's Hawk Winery, 2307 E Lincoln Highway, New Lenox, IL, on May 24, 2026. Registration includes a Super Soft Ring Spun Cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible portable wine glass for eligible participants, a finisher medal, a race bib, online results, and a pour of wine.
The course is cross country style with some hills and trails and is described as suitable for runners and walkers. The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each category. Ten year categories are used: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group medals are available for pickup beginning one hour after the first wave and are available only on event day.
The event supports the New Lenox Food Pantry and encourages additional donations during registration or direct giving to the pantry. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but will not receive a wine glass or a glass of wine. Strollers are permitted though not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed on site because of USDA restrictions for the farm property.
