Coon Dog Day 5k, Saluda NC
The Coon Dog Day 5k is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, and takes place in downtown Saluda, North Carolina. The event is based at McCreery Park (corner of Main Street and Greenville Street) with the start and finish on Main Street.

The 5K uses chip timing for participant results. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered by Memorial Day, Monday May 26. Awards are presented in multiple age categories, including groups from 9 and under through 70 plus. The kids run has clock timing and a new route for children.
Packet pickup is handled in town at the Saluda Inn at 229 Greenville Street where participants collect race bibs and shirts; a complimentary hotdog at pickup is noted. Race day check-in is listed at Looking Glass Realty at 108 East Main Street, beside the post office.
Parking for the race is available in several nearby lots including church lots and the Saluda Elementary School bus parking lot, which is a short walk to the start line. Proceeds from the 5K and the kids run support Saluda Elementary School, with a primary focus on literacy and other educational resources.
