Cookridge Community 10K 2026
The Cookridge Community 10K is a memorial trail race taking place in Cookridge, Leeds on Sunday 17 May 2026. This is the seventh running of the event and the course distance is 10 kilometres on multi terrain.
The route starts at Cookridge Village Scout Hall on Pinfold Lane, follows the lane and circles Pauls Pond in an anti-clockwise direction, then enters Golden Acre Park and passes a nature reserve. Runners move onto grass and climb a grass hill about halfway, continue toward the Arthington Road car park, follow trail paths through woods where there are tree roots underfoot, complete a loop of the main path, make a clockwise circuit of the lake, and then retrace back to the scouts hut for the finish. Parts of the course can become muddy after poor weather.
The organiser lists the profile as flat but the route contains one grass hill. Entry is limited to 360 places; at the time of listing some places remained available and online entries close on Friday 15 May 2026. Entry fees are shown as £24.00 for affiliated runners and £26.00 for unaffiliated runners. Race facilities include water, distance markers, toilets and baggage storage; there are no changing facilities or showers. The baggage store inside the Scout Hall is limited and participants are asked to bring a maximum of one bag per person. All participants will receive a CC10K t shirt.
