Event Overview
The Cookridge 1-mile Fun Run is a community-focused sporting event held in memory of Gareth Dunn. Taking place in Leeds, the run is designed for participants of all ages, including children and families. The event serves as a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK and various local community charities.
Course Details
The run follows an out and back route covering a distance of 1 mile (approximately 1.6 km). The course is described as flat and multi-terrain, consisting of a single lap. The following distances are available:

The race begins at the Cookridge Village Scout Hall on Pinfold Lane. Runners head down Pinfold Lane and turn right toward Old Rushes Farm. At this point, participants make a u-turn and return via the same path to finish back at the scout hall. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Facilities and Participation
The event is held at the Race HQ located at the Cookridge Village Scout Group on Pinfold Lane. Facilities on-site include toilets, distance markers, and baggage storage. While no changing rooms or showers are available, water is provided at the finish line.
All registered entrants receive a medal and a goodie bag upon completion. Registration is limited to 150 participants, and entry on the day of the event is not available. Parents and carers are permitted to run alongside their children without the mascot requirement of a separate entry fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
