About the race
Cookie Run takes place on 11/07/2026 at 3345 Stadium Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62026, US.
Distances:
- 3 Miles Cookie Monster Run
- 1 Mile Kids Cookie Monster Run
The course is divided into quarter-mile (0.25 mile) segments. Participants run the first segment, stop at a cookie station to eat as many cookies as they choose, have each finished cookie marked on their bib, then turn and run to the next cookie stop. This sequence repeats until the chosen distance is completed; the kids event covers one mile while the full event covers three miles.
Scoring gives priority to the number of cookies eaten, then to elapsed running time. Final time is calculated as the participant's run time minus one minute for each cookie successfully eaten. Awards are listed for the 3-mile race by gender for first and second place, plus an overall top cookie eater; the 1-mile kids race includes first and second place and a top cookie eater award.
Registration is listed as $0.00. Organizers also request monetary donations; funds collected will be used to buy and deliver Christmas gifts for families in need. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
