The Cookie Mile

The Cookie Mile is an annual running event held in the Aksarben Village area of Omaha, Nebraska. The course consists of a one-mile loop that is characterized as fast and flat. Participants begin the race at the Fleet Feet Aksarben store, circle through the village, and finish at the intersection of 67th Street and Mercy Road.

The event offers several distinct categories to accommodate different age groups and competitive interests:

  • Open Division: Open to all ages, paces, and experience levels, including walkers and children.
  • Middle School Division: Designated for students in grades 5-8.
  • High School Division: Available for high school students and rising freshmen.
  • Elite Division: Open to competitive athletes of any age who meet specific time standards.

The Elite Division features separate waves for women and men, with time standards of 6:00 for women and 5:00 for men. This category includes awards for the top three male and female finishers, with the overall winners receiving a trophy, a box of cookies, and entry into the following year's event.

All registered participants receive a custom finisher medal, an exclusive Nike finisher t-shirt, and a fresh-baked cookie upon crossing the finish line.
