About the race
The Constable Elementary PTO Turkey Trot is a community fundraising event held at Constable Elementary School in Kendall Park, NJ. It combines a main road 5K with two short kids-only runs and a separate T-shirt purchase option. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable canned good for donation to the South Brunswick Food Pantry.
Registration is open for the listed events from October 12, 2026 through November 4, 2026. Fees for each option are listed by the organizer: the 5K is $40, the Half Mile Fun Run is $12, the 50 Yard Fun Run is $5, and a T-shirt only option is $22. Shirts are guaranteed for the 5K if registered before November 5 at 11:59 PM; shirts are not included with the kids' race tickets.
Distances:
- 5K
- Half Mile (0.5 miles)
- 50 Yards
The kids' runs have age limits: the Half Mile is open to ages 4 to 11, and the 50 Yard run is open to ages 3 to 11. Race awards include a frozen turkey for the top three 5K finishers, medals for the top three boys and girls in the Half Mile, and participation medals for all 50-yard dash entrants. The organizer notes the course is generally flat but may not suit all abilities; volunteers will be stationed along the route. Additional event rules include no pets or bikes, children must be accompanied by an adult, strollers and walking are allowed, and the event will proceed in all weather.
