Connected Community 5K
The Connected Community 5K is a community run, walk, and roll event on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. The course begins and ends on the Historic Shelbyville Square, 1 Public Square East, Shelbyville TN 37160. The event is presented by Bridge Bedford and is the second annual edition.
Three events are offered:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Fun Run (6 & under only)
The 5K is a timed race with results available online after the event. The 1 Mile and Kid's Fun Run are not timed. The event includes awards for students and adults: student awards for the top male and female 5K finisher in each grade band Elementary (K–5), Middle (6–8), and High School (9–12); adult awards for the top male and female finisher in standard age groups beginning at 20–24 and continuing in five year increments up to 80 and over.
All participants must pick up race packets before the race and present registration confirmation and a photo ID to collect a packet; minors are not required to show ID. School team packet pickup information will be provided to teams; general pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
