Connect Community Village 5K Run/Walk, Somerset KY
Connect Community Village / Bluegrass Veterans Ranch is a 20-acre, 25-home tiny house community that supports veterans transitioning from military to civilian life. The community offers vocational job training, animal therapy, a working ranch environment, and peer-supported veteran programs and resources.
Event offerings include:
- 3.1 Miles for the 5K Run and 5K Competitive Walker
The 5K Competitive Walker division is defined by walking with one foot on the ground at all times; running, jogging, trotting, or sprinting any portion of the course is prohibited and may result in disqualification. Competitive Walkers are eligible for Top 3 Overall Male and Female Competitive Walking awards.
The RUCK division requires participants to carry a pack. Female participants must use a ruck or backpack weighing at least 15 pounds. Male participants must use a ruck or backpack weighing at least 25 pounds. Ruck participants must be 16 years or older. Registration fees for listed events are $20.00.
Registration opens and closes on the dates provided by the organizer. Registration location and packet pickup are at the Pulaski County Judicial Center; packet pickup is scheduled for the evening before the event. The start and finish are on S. Maple Street off E. Mt. Vernon Street, with parking behind Commercial Printing and beside the Pulaski County Judicial Center. Register by July 9 to guarantee the official race shirt as shirts will not be available at on site registration.
