Connect Community Village 5K Run/Walk
The Connect Community Village 5K Run/Walk is an annual event held in Somerset, Kentucky. This race serves as a fundraiser for the Connect Community Village and Bluegrass Veterans Ranch, a 20-acre tiny house community designed to assist veterans transitioning from military to civilian life. The facility offers vocational training, animal therapy, and peer-supported resources.
The event is a part of the Lake Cumberland Walk/Run Series and offers three distinct event categories:
- 5K Run
- 5K Competitive Walker
- Ruck
Participants gather at the Pulaski County Judicial Center Courtyard for registration, while the start and finish lines are located on S. Maple Street in front of the Pulaski County Attorney’s Office. Parking is available beside the Judicial Center and behind Commercial Printing.
The event features an opening ceremony prior to the start. To assist participants, complimentary warm-up and stretching sessions are provided by Chelsea Carson Fitness and the Kentucky Athletic Group. The race also partners with 22 Too Many, allowing participants to run in honor of military members. Early packet pickup is organized at the Pulaski County Judicial Center in downtown Somerset.
