Congleton Running Festival

Congleton Running Festival takes place on 24 January 2027 at Back Lane Playing Field in Congleton. The event features multiple race distances and an on-site event village with food, drink and finish-line facilities.

The event includes:

• Half Marathon
• 10k
• 5k

The races use a road closed course that runs through quiet lanes and scenic countryside. The route is clearly signed and staffed by marshals at key points. Live chip timing records results. Water stations are placed approximately every 5 km and there is water available at the finish. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop with a secure baggage area.

Practical details note a three hour cut-off due to road closures and a minimum age of 17 for the half marathon. Portable toilets are provided in the event village and roughly halfway along the course. Organised by RunThrough, the event also offers an optional official event t-shirt at checkout. Race packs are posted to entrants before the event, with late entries collecting theirs at registration on race day.
