Confederation Park 5K and 1K

The event takes place at Confederation Park, 680 Van Wagners Beach Rd., Hamilton, Ontario. Two distances are offered:

1 km free fun run with no awards or t-shirts

Race kit pick up and race day registration are at the Edge Water Pavilion between 8:00 and 9:30. There is plenty of parking inside Confederation Park. Access is via QEW Centennial Parkway to Centennial Parkway to Service Rd.

The course runs entirely inside the park, is flat and traffic free. Each kilometer is marked and there is one aid station at 2.5 km. Timing is by bib tag with Chiptime Results. All 5K finishers receive a finisher medal. The Sub 20 Club awards a custom medal to runners who finish under 20 minutes. A course record bonus of $250 is offered; existing course records are 14:15 (2008) and 16:14 (2023).

For safety, no strollers or bicycles are allowed on the course and the use of headphones is strongly discouraged. An awards ceremony will take place following the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
