Concord Point Lighthouse 200th Anniversary 5K
The Concord Point Lighthouse 200th Anniversary 5K is a community running event in Havre de Grace, Maryland, held to mark the lighthouse's bicentennial year. The course covers 5K (3.1 miles) and is presented by the Friends of the Concord Point Lighthouse.
The run is followed by a Community Celebration at Concord Point Park. The celebration brings together local museums, historical organizations, nonprofits, and community partners. Food, music, general activities, and a children's area are part of the post-race program to provide a family-friendly atmosphere and opportunities to learn about local history.
Event registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes April 17, 2027. The registration fee is $30.00. Race proceeds benefit the Friends of the Concord Point Lighthouse and support preservation, education, and community outreach related to the lighthouse and Keeper's House.
For nearly 200 years the lighthouse has been part of Havre de Grace's history. The organizing group conducts preservation efforts, educational programs, tours, special events, and community engagement to keep the site accessible. The event is geared toward runners, walkers, families, friends, and community supporters who wish to participate in the bicentennial activities and support ongoing preservation and educational work.
