The Community Uplift 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 16, 2026, at The Omega Family Resource and Learning Center, 132 South Harrison St., East Orange, NJ 07018. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine. Distances offered:

- 5K Walk
Parking is available at 95 Evergreen Pl behind the building. If that lot is full, street parking is available on Evergreen Pl. A course map is hosted on MapMyRun.
Registration, amenities and rules
General registration includes a processing fee; the listed event price is $33.80. Registering by April 30 guarantees a free event t-shirt; later registrations may not receive a shirt. Registration offers a run option and a walk option. There is also a donation-only registration choice with suggested donation amounts of $5, $10, and $25.
Amenities include live online, email and text results, free finish-line photos and free same-day finish-line video. Participants who register three weeks in advance may receive a personalized bib with their name printed. Participants must know their bib number to pick up a bib; a Self Lookup area is available.
Awards for the 5K Run will be given to the top three male and top three female overall. If a participant runs in an incorrect wave they will be ineligible for awards. Proceeds benefit GECUF.
