Event
The Community Uplift 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 16, 2026 at The Omega Family Resource and Learning Center, 132 South Harrison St., East Orange, NJ 07018. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine. Proceeds benefit GECUF. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers in the 5K run; running in the incorrect wave makes a participant ineligible for awards.

The published event price is $33.80, which includes a processing fee. Registration options list a base cost of $30 for either the 5K run or 5K walk; total may vary with additional options or donations. Registrants who register by April 30 are guaranteed a free t-shirt on race day; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt. All fees are non-refundable and are not transferable to another year.
Amenities include live/results via text or email, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is handled by event staff on-site and a Self Lookup area is available for participants who do not know their bib number. Parking is available in a lot at 95 Evergreen Pl behind the building, with additional street parking on Evergreen Pl if the lot is full.
