Community Uplift 5K Run/Walk
The Community Uplift 5K Run/Walk is an outdoor athletic event held at The Omega Family Resource and Learning Center in East Orange, New Jersey. The event takes place rain or shine and features two primary registration options:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Participants who register at least three weeks before the race day receive a personalized bib including their name. Those who register by April 30th are guaranteed a free event t-shirt. The event provides several amenities for participants, including live results sent via text or email, free finish line photography, and finish line videos.
The course is open to individuals and teams, with the option for participants to create or join a team during registration. For those participating in the 5K Run, awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Proceeds from the event benefit the GECUF organization. Parking is available at a designated lot on Evergreen Place located behind the building, with additional street parking available on the same street if the lot reaches capacity. Bib pickup begins one hour before the start of the event, and participants are required to know their bib number, which can be found at a self-lookup station on-site.
