Community Ambulance 5k Run and Walk
The Community Ambulance 5k Run and Walk takes place on June 21, 2026, inside Islip Grange Park in Sayville, New York. The event is a 5 km road race that includes short sections of grass inside the park and is described as a flat course.
Entry fees vary by date and registration option: $35 if paid by June 7, 2026; $40 from June 8 through race day; or $26 when entered as part of the Sayville Summer Series (series entry $130). Registration opens February 26, 2026 and closes June 7, 2026. Packet pick up is scheduled for June 20, 2026 at Sayville Running Company, located at the warehouse behind 35 Overton Street, Sayville, NY 11782.
Race results will be posted online and can be sent to participants by email or text if requested. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall, top three male and female masters, and top three in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
All proceeds support the Community Ambulance Company and its patient care mission. The Community Ambulance Company serves Bayport, Bohemia, Oakdale, Sayville, and West Sayville; in 2026 it answered over 5,600 emergency medical alarms, handled by volunteer local residents. An optional $100 donation qualifies a family as a Family Supporter and the family name will be posted on the company website; donations are tax deductible.
