Ugly Sweater 5K at Belmont Lake State Park
The event is a holiday-themed 5K run/walk on December 20, 2026, held at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY. There is also a free kiddie dash on the same day. Both in-person and virtual participation options are offered.

Participants receive an ugly sweater medal and a long sleeve tee. Finish-line hydration is provided and high quality refreshments are offered by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bathrooms are a few minutes walk from the start and an informal bag check area will be available in the staging area. Live online, email, and text results are provided, and same-day finish line photos and free video are available.
Bib mailing is available for an additional fee and must be requested at least 10 days before the race for mailing. Virtual participants have a one-week window to log times and may upload up to five photos; virtual race gear begins shipping on the first day of the event. The event posts online age-group standings and sends them by text or email; there are no physical awards. Registration fees are non-refundable under the stated terms. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports youth, special needs events, and athlete development.
