Commando Series at Hever Castle
The Commando Series at Hever Castle in Kent takes place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026. It is an obstacle mud run designed to recreate elements of Royal Marines Commando training, including many obstacles that are exact replicas from the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre at Lympstone.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 3K for ages 7 and above
- 6K for ages 8 and above
- 12K for ages 16 and above
The 6K course contains 26 obstacles. The 12K route consists of two laps and includes 51 obstacles. Junior entries are available: the junior 6K covers ages 8 to 15 and 3K entries are open from age 7. Under 11s must be accompanied by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children. When purchasing tickets for 7 to 10 year olds, an adult must also purchase a 3K ticket to accompany.
A GOLD ticket upgrade is offered during booking for an additional fee and includes carrying 21lbs of extra kit with webbing and a wooden rife, a hot ration pack on finish, and access to a two hour survival experience; this upgrade has a minimum age of 16 years.
The event village provides spectator facilities such as a climbing wall, live music, a fully stocked bar, and access to the historic castle. Published full price entries are: Adult 12K £100, Adult 6K £80, Junior 6K £45, and 3K £40. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
