About the race
The Commando Series at Hever Castle in Kent takes place on Saturday 10 October 2026. The event stages military style obstacle courses across three distance options and includes an event village with spectator attractions such as a climbing wall, live music, a bar, and access to the historic castle grounds. Courses recreate elements of Royal Marines Commando training and include purpose built obstacles, some of which are described as replicas from the Commando Training Centre. One named obstacle is the Catacombs of Doom.
A 2 hour survival experience within the castle grounds is offered as part of the weekend concept. Age limits vary by distance. Junior and family rules are specified: the junior 6K is for ages 8 to 15, and the 3K is open from age 7; children under 11 on the 6K must be accompanied by an adult at a 1:3 ratio. Adult entries require a minimum age of 16 for the 6K and 12K courses. Standard entry prices listed for 2026 are: adult 12K £100, adult 6K £80, junior 6K £45, and 3K £40.
An optional Gold ticket upgrade for participants aged 16 and over adds a 21 lb kit, webbing and wooden rifle, a hot ration pack on finish, and a 2 hour survival course.
