Commando Series at Hever Castle, Kent
The Commando Series at Hever Castle on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026 is an obstacle mud run modelled on Royal Marines Commando training. The course offers a military style experience with rugged obstacles, some of which are replicas from the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre at Lympstone. One named obstacle is the Catacombs of Doom.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 3K
- 6K
- 12K
The event includes a two hour survival experience held within the castle grounds. A spectator event village sits by the course and features a climbing wall, live music, a fully stocked bar, and access to the historic castle.
Ticketing includes age categories and prices. Adult entries are available for the 12K and 6K courses for those aged 16 and over. Junior categories include the 6K for ages 8 to 15 and the 3K for ages 7 and over; children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult at a ratio of one adult to three children. Standard prices listed for Commando 2026 are £100 for the adult 12K, £80 for the adult 6K, £45 for the junior 6K, and £40 for the 3K.
A Gold ticket upgrade is available for £30 and adds carrying 21 lbs of extra kit with webbing and a wooden rifle, a hot ration pack on finish, and access to the two hour survival course; the Gold option is for participants aged 16 and over.
