Columbus Pet Run and Walk
The Columbus Pet Run and Walk is a pet friendly running event held at Columbus Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio. Courses are on paved surfaces and all races start and finish at the trailhead just south of the main parking lot.

- Kids Fun Run about 100 meters
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
The event is chip timed with instant results and digital finisher certificates posted online. Participants in the 1 Mile, 5K and 10K receive a large dog tag style finisher medal, a bandana that can be used by a human or a pet, a custom race bib, dog and cat treats, and on-course snacks and refreshments. Each canine or feline finisher receives a dog tag sized medal. The first 200 registrants receive a frisbee.
Packet pickup is available on race day at the south end of the main parking lot at Columbus Whetstone High School. Parking is free adjacent to the start and finish at 4405 Scenic Dr, Columbus OH 43214.
Additional event details include water bowls for dogs at the finish and at water stations on course, allowance for strollers, a request that dogs be kept on short leashes, and a recommendation to wear the bib visibly on the front for accurate chip timing. Results are posted with age groups and there will not be an awards ceremony. A virtual option is offered; virtual entrants receive finisher medals and treats and may self report times within the stated reporting window.
