Columbus Firefighters Charity 5K
The Columbus Firefighters Charity 5K takes place on October 24, 2026, at CSU Woodruff Park, 1000 Bay Ave., Columbus, GA 31901. The event features a single course distance of 5K with multiple registration divisions to accommodate different participant formats.
Divisions listed for the 5K include:
- Standard 5K run/walk; participants in this division will not wear firefighter turnout gear.
- 5K Full Gear Firefighter Turnout; participants will run in full turnout gear including helmet, coat, pants, and SCBA harness with tank and mask on. Gloves, boots, and Nomex are not required.
- Law Enforcement and Military 25 lb vest or ruck run; participants will wear a 25 pound weighted vest or ruck.
Registration opens April 1, 2026, and the published registration fee is $35. Race day registration is reported as available and the race day fee is also $35. Packet pickup is scheduled at Big Dog on 11th on Friday, October 23 from noon to 6 PM; there is no race day packet pickup.
Awards are planned for top finishers and specific categories, including top three overall, age-group placings (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+), top firefighter in full gear, and top military and law enforcement.
