Columbus Firefighters Charity 5K
The Columbus Firefighters Charity 5K is a community running event held on October 24, 2026 at CSU Woodruff Park, 1000 Bay Ave., Columbus, GA 31901. The event features a 5 kilometer course and several distinct race divisions that share the same distance.
Divisions include a standard 5K run/walk in regular athletic clothing, a 5K run completed in full firefighter turnout gear (helmet, coat, pants, SCBA harness with tank and mask on; gloves, boots, and Nomex are not required), and a Law Enforcement / Military division in which participants wear a 25 pound weighted vest or ruck. Entry for each division is listed at $35.
Awards are given for overall top finishers and age groups, including Top 3 overall, age group categories (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+), top firefighter in full gear, overall male and female runners, and top military and law enforcement. A race T-shirt is available and a shirt is guaranteed for participants who register by October 22. Packet pickup is scheduled before race day at a designated location; there is no packet pickup on race day.
