Columbus Firefighters Charity 5K
The Columbus Firefighters Charity 5K is scheduled for October 24, 2026 at CSU Woodruff Park, 1000 Bay Ave., Columbus, GA 31901. The event features a single-course 5K distance.
The event includes three registration divisions: a standard 5K run/walk in which participants will not wear firefighter turnout gear; a full gear division in which participants run wearing full firefighter turnout gear including helmet, coat, pants, and SCBA harness with tank and mask (no gloves, boots, or Nomex required); and a Law Enforcement/Military division in which participants complete the 5K wearing a 25 pound weighted vest or ruck.
Registration opens on April 1, 2026 and closes on October 24, 2026. The registration fee for the listed divisions is $35. Race day registration is available; packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 23 from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at Big Dog on 11th, and there is no race day packet pickup.
Awards are planned for top finishers, including Top 3 overall, age-group awards (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+), Top Firefighter in full gear, overall male and female, and top Military and Law Enforcement finishers.
