Paint the Town Pink 5K Fun Walk Run
The Paint the Town Pink 5K Fun Walk Run is scheduled for October 23, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia. The event is presented by the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and benefits the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Cancer Assistance Fund. The fund assists eligible local individuals and families who are receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation treatment, and 100% of proceeds remain within the community.
The event offers a timed 5K run with age-group medals for winners and a 5K fun walk. Walkers aged 12 and older have a specified entry fee; runner and walker entries include a t-shirt, with medals provided to winning runners in specific age groups. Registration opens May 1 and closes October 11, 2026; entries received by October 11 are guaranteed a t-shirt and correct size, while entries after that date do not guarantee a t-shirt. Prices increase after October 11.
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the event at the Cunningham Center. Late packet pick-up and race day registration are available at Woodruff Park. The event includes a survivor parade and a program with survivors and participants. Runners will be timed, and the run can assist with qualifications for other races.
