Color Me Green 5K Trail Race
The Color Me Green event is a trail-based color run held at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. The event includes a main trail run and a short kids division.
Distances
- 5K recreational and competitive divisions.
- 1/2 mile kids run.
Pre-registration deadlines and fees are listed for each division, with separate day-of registration rates. Packet pick-up is available at NoDa Brewing Company and at the South Conference Center in the days before the race. Race shirts are guaranteed only to participants who register on or before March 1, 2027.
Participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating; the waiver can be printed for packet pick-up or completed on site. Registration is non-refundable. Trails remain open to other runners, hikers, and bikers during the event; participants are asked to communicate when passing and note that e-bikes and other powered transportation are not permitted. Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine, while the Whitewater Center reserves the right to alter, reschedule, or cancel events.
On-site logistics note a daily parking fee for the Whitewater Center and a stated policy that the center does not conduct trail rescues; participants should call 911 for emergencies. Awards are given by division, including overall placing in competitive and recreational categories and youth awards for the kids run.
