Event
The Coley Canter is scheduled for 28 December 2025 in Halifax, West Yorkshire. The race distance is 7.7 miles on mixed terrain. Entry was limited to 200 places and the event is shown as full. Entry fees were listed as £10.00 for affiliated runners and £12.00 for unaffiliated runners, with on-day entry available for an additional £2.00 if places remained. Minimum age on race day is 18.
Course and logistics
The route is multi-terrain and hilly, with one lap and a cut-off point just after the six-mile stage on Coley Road. Any runner reaching that point after two hours will be directed back to the finish, which shortens the route; runners who do not complete the full route are not eligible for category prizes. The 2025 edition will be chip timed. There are no medals; hot drinks and complimentary soup and rolls are provided after the race. A donation from profits supports the charity Andy's Man Club. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics rules. Race headquarters is Northowram Community Sports Club, Westercroft Lane, Halifax, HX3 7EN. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, and dogs are not allowed.
