Event
The Coley Canter is a multi-terrain trail race held in Halifax, West Yorkshire in late December. The course distance is 7.7 miles. The event is organised by Northowram Pumas Running Club and has an entry limit of 200 runners. Profits include a donation to the charity Andy's Man Club. The race will be chip timed in 2025 and there are no medals. Hot drinks, soup and rolls are provided for runners after the race.
Course and entry information
The route is hilly and muddy, using trails, footpaths and local hills. There is a cut-off point just after the six mile stage on Coley Road; runners who reach that point after two hours will be directed back to the finish, shortening their route. Runners who do not complete the full route are not eligible for category prizes. Facilities at Race HQ include water stations, toilets and changing facilities. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs and dogs are not allowed.
Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £10.00 and Unaffiliated £12.00. On-day entry is available at a £2 increase if places remain. Transfers are allowed until midnight on Thursday 18th December; refunds are not offered. Race licence - TBC. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
