Coledale Horseshoe
The Coledale Horseshoe is a fell race taking place in Braithwaite, England. The course covers a distance of 8.5 miles (13.7 km) and includes 3,500 feet of total ascent. The event is held under Fell Runners Association (FRA) licenses and regulations, and participation is restricted to individuals aged 18 and over.
The route features three specific checkpoints that participants must pass: Grisedale Pike, Crag Hill, and Barrow. This event is classified as a non-GPS race. While runners may use electronic devices to record data for post-race analysis or to view their speed and altitude, using such devices for navigation, displaying a current position on a map, or as a compass is prohibited.
Registration is located at Braithwaite Lodge, which also serves as the starting point. This location is approximately a ten-minute walk from the designated parking area situated on the opposite side of the A66. All participants must register in advance as there are no entries available on the day. Upon arrival, runners are required to sign for their race number and provide emergency contact details along with their vehicle registration.

Each participant must complete an FRA entry form prior to the event. Transfers are permitted until 26 March, though the organizers do not offer refunds or maintain a waiting list.
