Coffs Backyard Ultra 2027 : Coffs Harbour Showground
Coffs Backyard Ultra is a timed running event held at the Coffs Harbour Showground on June 12, 2027, organised by Coffs Trail Runners. Participants run a repeated loop of one "yard" measuring 6.706 km every hour on the hour and continue until a single runner remains.
The course follows the Scenic Coffs Creek Walkway and is composed of approximately 82% shaded gravel paths, 10% boardwalk and 8% bitumen. The event uses a corral for briefings and race management and offers space for gear and marquees in an exhibition pavilion.
The event schedule includes pre-race activities on the day before, with opportunities for bib collection, gear and marquee setup, free camping, a social "meet the course" run and a runner panel. On race day there is additional bib collection, pavilion access for gear setup and a race briefing prior to the first yard.
The event is donation based; donations can be made during registration or at the event. A cash prize of $1,000 is offered for both the last male and last female standing, sponsored by The Battery Boys. Several local and industry sponsors support the event, including organisations for signage, insurance, nutrition, electrolytes and physiotherapy.
