About the race
The Run to the Castle Ultra is a scenic point-to-point race held in Wales, offering a 42-mile ultra distance from Aberdyfi to Harlech, as well as a marathon option from Aberdyfi to Barmouth. The course follows a beautiful coastal path, passing through Tywyn, Fairbourne, the Fairborne Bridge, and Barmouth, featuring a mix of beach, tracks, and pavements. The event includes four well-stocked checkpoints, a fully marked route, and a 12-hour time limit.
