The Coconut Chase is the 17th annual 8K run/walk held at Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island in Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 13, 2027. The course runs around Ala Moana Beach Park and is described as scenic, flat and fast. The organizer presents the event as fun for the whole family.
Packet pickup takes place the day before the event on June 12 at Uloha, 515 Ward Avenue, Honolulu, with a scheduled pickup window. Chip timing is provided by Pacific Sport Events. There is one aid station on the course serving water, and the finish area offers light snacks, Gatorade and water.
Awards are given to top males and females across ten divisions. T-shirts and medals are guaranteed for participants who register by May 15 and pick up their shirt at packet pickup. Entries after May 15 are not guaranteed a shirt or correct size; leftover shirts may be available after the race.
No pets are allowed at the park; service dogs are welcome but must be leashed. The event is organized by Tropical Triple Crown and lists a registration fee of USD 40 for the Run or Walk 8K category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
