Coconut Chase 8K - Honolulu, HI
The Coconut Chase 8K is an annual 8-kilometre run/walk held at Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island, in Honolulu, HI. The 17th edition uses a flat, fast course that runs around Ala Moana Beach Park and finishes near the park area. Participants can enjoy views of the beach and access to the calm tropical waters of Ala Moana Beach after the event.
The event offers a single distance: 8K run/walk. The listed entry fee is USD 45. Chip timing is provided by Pacific Sport Events. There is one aid station on the course serving water, and light snacks plus Gatorade and water are available at the finish.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Uloha, 515 Ward Avenue, Honolulu, between 9:00 and 13:00. T-shirts and medals are guaranteed only for entrants who register by May 15 and who pick up their shirt at packet pickup; entries after May 15 are not guaranteed a shirt or correct size and may receive shirts only after the event if extras remain.
Awards are given to top males and females across ten divisions. The event is organized by Tropical Triple Crown. Pets are not allowed in the park; service dogs are welcome but must be leashed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
