Coconut Chase 8K
The Coconut Chase 8K is an annual running event held in Honolulu, Hawaii. The sixteenth edition of this race takes place at Ala Moana Beach Park, specifically starting and finishing at Magic Island. The event provides a flat and fast route that circles the park grounds, offering views of the tropical coastline.
Participants can choose from the following registration types:
- 8K Run/Walk: An in-person race around the beach park.
- Virtual 8K: A remote participation option for those not attending at the park.
The event features chip timing provided by Pacific Sport Events. There is one aid station located along the course providing water, while the finish area offers water, sports drinks, and light snacks. Awards are presented to top male and female finishers across ten different divisions.
Those who register by mid-May and attend the scheduled packet pickup at a local gear shop in Honolulu are guaranteed a finisher medal and a t-shirt. The park environment focuses on runner safety and accessibility; however, pets are not permitted on the grounds during the event.
