About the race
The Cobb County Make-A-Wish 5K donates net proceeds to Make-A-Wish Georgia to help grant wishes for Cobb County children with critical illnesses. The event takes place on the Marietta Square at 50 N Park Square, Marietta, GA 30060. Participants assemble on the square and there are pre-race festivities. The event program includes multiple participation options: - 5K timed event - 5K untimed walk or run - 1K fun run for ages 4 to 11 - Phantom Runner donation only option with a mailed race t-shirt Registration details and fees are provided by the organizer; fees listed for the public entries include a timed 5K fee of $37.00, an untimed 5K fee of $33.00, and a 1K fee of $15.00.
Registration opens in November 2025 for most events and deadlines vary by event. The Phantom Runner option is a donation-only entry for supporters who cannot attend; registrants for that option will receive a race t-shirt by mail and must submit a registration form. Packet pick-up is scheduled on dates before race day at two locations: Big Peach Running Co. East Cobb/Marietta, 1062 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30068, and Al Bishop Softball Complex, 1082 Al Bishop Dr, Marietta, GA 30008. This event is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.
