Make-A-Wish 5K : Marietta
The Make-A-Wish 5K is an annual community run hosted by Cobb County to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Georgia to grant wishes for Cobb County children with critical illnesses. The event is held on Marietta Square and is listed as a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.
The event program includes a main 5 kilometer race and a shorter fun run. Walk-up registration is offered on the day of the event. The county provides race logistics information and a race route map, and publishes results and photos from prior years.
Registration fees are published with a scheduled price increase after July 30. Fee categories and amounts shown for the event include:
- 5K Individual untimed walk/run: $33 before increase, $38 after
- 5K Individual timed run: $37 before increase, $42 after
- Phantom runner donation only: $37
- 1K Fun Run: $15
Sponsors support the event through donated funds and formal sponsorship levels.
