Coastal Center for Hope & Healing Run for Shelter : New Bern, NC
The Coastal Center for Hope & Healing presents a fundraising race event on June 13, 2026, at Creekside Park in New Bern, NC. The event offers multiple in-person options: a 5K, a 10K, and a 1 Mile fun run. Registration opens January 19, 2026 and closes May 14, 2026; the 5K and 10K have a registration fee of $25 and the 1 Mile fee is $20. Same-day check-in and packet pickup are available before the races.
The 5K and 10K run on a USATF certified course. The 5K is an out-and-back course; the 10K follows an out, loop, and back format. The 1 Mile fun run is untimed. The 5K and 10K courses accommodate strollers and leashed dogs and are open to timed results. Professional race timing and live on-site results are provided, and awards are given for the 5K and 10K overall winners and for the top three males and females in each age group.
This is not a closed course; traffic may be present and EMT personnel will be on site. The event is scheduled to proceed in rainy conditions; in the case of thunder, the in-person event will be rescheduled. No refunds are available.
The Coastal Center for Hope & Healing is the sole provider of no-cost comprehensive abuse and sexual violence services in Craven, Jones, and Pamlico counties, including a 24-hour crisis line, court advocacy, support groups, transportation and housing assistance, and referrals.
