Coal Cracker 10K - Shenandoah, PA

The Coal Cracker 10K is a road running event that begins in the center of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, and follows a route through downtown and the surrounding Coal Region. The course includes multiple hills, a notable climb up St. Nick's breaker, approximately one mile of downhill return into town, and a short uphill section just before the finish.

The event program includes multiple race options and a volunteer category. Awards are presented for overall and age group placings, with the top three overall male and female finishers and the top two in each age group recognized. Additional speciality awards include youngest finisher, oldest finisher, first local male, and first local female. The event also offers Clydesdale and Athena divisions with stated minimum weights; runners in those divisions forfeit age group awards. Over fifty unique awards are handcrafted from local coal by Delrose Awards.

An awards ceremony follows the races and includes food and beverage noted by the organizer. Early packet pickup is available prior to race day at the Polish American Fire Company. Day of registration and packet pickup take place at the Polish American Fire Company located at 115 W Centre St, Shenandoah, PA 17976.
