Coal & Coke Fireworks 30/10 Miler : Mt Pleasant, PA
The Coal & Coke Fireworks event on July 11, 2026 is an inaugural trail race organized by BALS Racing on the Coal & Coke Trail system in Mt Pleasant, PA. The event offers two distance options:
- 30 Miler
- 10 Miler
The course uses a 5-mile out-and-back loop (a 10-mile loop for repeated laps) with approximately 145 feet of elevation gain and loss per loop. The surface is wide, non-technical double track composed of crushed gravel and pavement.
Two aid stations are provided: one at the start/finish area and one at the 5-mile turnaround. The start/finish station includes hot organic food options (for example protein pancakes, grilled cheese, quesadillas), organic snacks and fruit, water, and an electrolyte mix. The turnaround station offers organic snacks, water, and the same electrolyte mix.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Helltown Brewing in Mt. Pleasant and also the morning of the race at the start/finish area. Pacers are generally not allowed; exceptions require organizer approval. No refunds are issued; registrants may transfer entries to the following year or to another runner if needed. A pregnancy deferral for one year is offered.
All finishers receive an etched pint glass, a handmade medal, and a race sticker. The swag bag includes an ice bandana, a BALS sticker, an electrolyte sample, and other items. Top finishers receive custom handmade awards and a themed raccoon motif appears in swag and awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
