Coal Aston Gala Chase and Family Fun Run
The event takes place at the Coal Aston Gala in Moss Valley, Derbyshire, with the race start and finish located at the gala site on Eckington Road. The main event is a summer trail race that follows public rights of way through farmland and woodland and includes one small ford crossing. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and licensed by the TRA, license number 8234.

Entry for the main race requires participants to be 16 or older. Entries open on Monday 16 March 2026 and close on Thursday 2 July 2026. Entry fees are listed as £9 for UKA/TRA affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners. A limited number of entries had been recorded at the time of listing.
Prizes are offered in multiple senior and veteran categories for both men and women. All finishers receive cake and a goody bag provided by the event sponsor Bimble and Bolt. The family fun run has an on the day entry fee of £5.
