CNB Oak Forest Fleadh 5K
The CNB Oak Forest Fleadh is the 17th annual community festival that includes a 5K running event through Oak Forest neighborhoods. The course passes local landmarks including St. Damian Church, Oak Forest High School, Valley Kingdom Ministries, and Ridge and Kerkstra schools. The start line is at 155th Street and Betty Ann Lane; Betty Ann is two blocks east of Central Avenue.
Race logistics note that all participants are timed using a disposable chip attached to the race bib. Runners must wear their bibs on the front of their clothing for accurate timing and should avoid adjusting smartwatches or phones while crossing the finish line. Walkers and strollers are permitted at the back of the pack. Dogs, roller blades, bicycles, and skateboards are not allowed.
Packet pick up is available at CNB Bank & Trust, 5459 W. 159th Street, on the listed pickup days, and race day packet pick up and registration are held at Oak Forest Fire Station Number 1 on the City Hall campus. Parking is available on nearby streets such as Ann Marie, Betty Ann, Michaele and Natalie, with additional parking at St. Damian Parish. Participants receive a short sleeve race t-shirt for the first 400 entries and a goody bag while supplies last.
