CMP 5K Range Run & 1K Fun Run
This event is a set of two runs held at Talladega Marksmanship Park, a rolling 500-acre park located at 4387 Turner Mill Road, Talladega, AL 35160. The races benefit the CMP Youth Marksmanship Programs and proceeds are treated as donations; race fees are non-refundable.

Entry fees and registration notes are provided in advance. The standard entry fee for the 5K is $18 if paid before September 1 and $25 thereafter. A reduced 5K fee of $15 applies to members of the military and family, Anniston Runners Club, Birmingham Track Club, and Gadsden Runners Club; no discounts are offered after September 1. T-shirts are guaranteed only for registrations completed before September 8. The 1K Fun Run entry fee is $5. Door prizes are listed as part of the event.
Packet pickup is available at a location in Anniston on September 23 and at Talladega on September 26, with an additional race day pickup option noted. Awards include trophies for the top three overall males and top three overall females, and medals for the top three males and females within age groups ranging from 9 and under through 70 and over.
