CMP 5K Range Run & 1K Fun Run
The event is a community run scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, held at Talladega Marksmanship Park, a rolling 500-acre park located at 4387 Turner Mill Road, Talladega, AL 35160, a few minutes off I-20. Proceeds benefit the CMP Youth Marksmanship Programs.

Entry fees and registration details are set with deadlines: the 5K fee is $18 before September 1 and $25 after; discounts of $15 apply for military and family, and members of Anniston Runners Club, Birmingham Track Club, and Gadsden Runners Club until September 1. T-shirts are guaranteed only for registrations completed before September 8. The 1K Fun Run entry fee is $5. Door prizes are noted as part of the event. Race fees are non-refundable and will be treated as donations.
Packet pickup is available on September 23 at 1470 Sentinel Drive, Anniston, AL 36207, and at Talladega on September 26, with an additional option on race day.
Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers. Medals are awarded to the top three males and females in these age groups: 9 and under; 10-14; 15-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-64; 65 and up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
