Clinton Celebrates America's 250th 5K
This event is a community 5K held on July 4, 2026, in Clinton, Illinois. The course starts on North Center Street outside the Vespasian Warner Library and finishes at the historic downtown square, where post race snacks will be available and parade viewing is planned for 10:00. The exact course route is still to be determined and will be shared prior to race day.
The distance for the main event is 5K (3.1 miles). Entry includes race participation and a commemorative 250th t-shirt; the t-shirt is guaranteed only for participants registered by June 6. The registration fee is $35. Registration opens April 2, 2026 and closes July 3, 2026; day of packet pickup and limited day of registration take place at the starting line and library area and do not guarantee a t-shirt. Evening packet pickup on Friday, July 3, 2026 will be at the information booth on the square from 5:00 to 7:00 and will include musical entertainment.
