Clifton Caboose Twilight Run
The Clifton Caboose Twilight Run takes place in the historic town of Clifton, Virginia. This event features two distinct distance options for participants:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The scenic course starts and finishes near the intersection of Clifton, Newman, and Main Streets, close to the town Barn. The route follows a gently rolling country road that crosses a creek and passes local farmland. Participants can find water stations positioned along the course and near the turnaround point.
Registered participants who sign up by May 15 are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt, which is available while supplies last. Packet pickup is scheduled for both the day before the event and the afternoon of the race at the Barn on Main Street.
After the run, a post-race party is held at the Red Barn. This gathering includes live music, an awards ceremony, and snacks. Adult runners age 21 and older receive two beer tickets with their registration, and additional tickets are available for purchase.
Awards for the 5K are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top two finishers in several age categories ranging from under 6 to over 70. For the 1 Mile Fun Run, all participants receive ribbons, while top finishers in the youth age groups receive medals.
Parking is located at Clifton Elementary School, the floodplain on Newman Road, and throughout the town, though parking at Trummer's restaurant is prohibited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
