The festival is based at Sand Key Park in Clearwater Beach, Florida (1060 Gulf Blvd). Courses pass Clearwater Beach, the Intracoastal, the Gulf of Mexico and portions of Old Clearwater and Belleair. The Marathon is USATF Certified (FL21013JK) and serves as a Boston Qualifier. All distances start and finish in Sand Key Park.
Distances
- Marathon - USATF certified Boston Qualifier, double loop of the half course
- Half Marathon - single loop finishing in Sand Key Park
- 50k Ultra - marathon course plus a 2.5 mile out and back on the Pinellas Trail
- 5k - out and back crossing the Sand Key Bridge to Clearwater Beach
- Relay - two legs of about 6.5 miles with an exchange at mile 6.5
Aid stations are located approximately every 1.5 to 2.5 miles with 15 stations in the Marathon, 17 in the Ultra, 7 in the Half and 1 in the 5k. Each aid station provides water, Gatorade Lemon Lime Endurance and port-o-johns; GU is available at the Indian Rocks Rd aid station. Trash disposal is provided near aid stations and marathon mile markers.
Time limits are published for each distance and include pace cutoffs that may divert participants to shorter results and corresponding medals. Post-race offerings include finisher medals, a combo medal for Saturday and Sunday participants, overall and age group awards, a beach recovery zone with free services, free race photos and finish line videos. Limited paid parking is available at Sand Key Park; no runner drop off is permitted at the park. A free shuttle runs between Pier 60 and the Sheraton Sand Key on race weekend.
