Courses and logistics

All courses start and finish at Sand Key Park and pass Clearwater Beach, the Intracoastal, and Gulf of Mexico views. The marathon is a double loop of the half-marathon course and is USATF certified (FL21013JK). The 50k follows the marathon course plus a 2.5 mile out-and-back on the Pinellas Trail. The 5k is an out-and-back that crosses the Sand Key Bridge to Clearwater Beach.

Aid stations are placed approximately every 1.5 to 2.5 miles: 15 stations in the marathon, 17 in the ultra, 7 in the half, and 1 in the 5k. Aid stations provide water, Gatorade (Lemon Lime Endurance), and port-o-johns. GU packets are available at the Indian Rocks Rd aid station. Gear check is offered near the start/finish; clear plastic bags will be available.

Parking at Sand Key Park costs $6 per car and can be paid at kiosks or via the City of Clearwater parking app. There is no runner drop off at Sand Key Park. A shuttle service runs between Pier 60 and the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. Rideshare and drop-off are at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.

Timing, awards and services

Time limits are: 5k - 1 hour 20 minutes; half-marathon - 4 hours; marathon and ultra - 6 hours 15 minutes. Participants who do not meet required pace checkpoints may be directed to finish a shorter distance and will be placed in results for that distance. All finishers receive commemorative medals; a special combo medal is provided for those completing the Saturday 5k and a Sunday distance. Overall awards use gun time; age-group awards use net time. Free race photos and finish-line videos are provided and are posted a few days after the event. Post-race provisions include water, fresh bananas, and other food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
