The Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival 5K is a run and walk event scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Clearwater Beach, Florida. Course Information
The race takes place on the hard-packed sand along the shoreline of Clearwater Beach. Although the surface is sand, it is described as being similar to asphalt in firmness, and the use of running shoes is recommended for all participants. The course follows a scenic out-and-back route starting from Pier 60 with the Gulf of Mexico as a backdrop.

Participation Details
Registration for the 5 km event is limited to 300 participants. There is no race day registration. Participants in the 5K receive an event t-shirt, a goody bag, and a five-inch finisher medal. The registration also includes one free ticket to the 24,000 square foot sand sculpture exhibit. While the race is electronically timed, it is non-competitive in nature, and no individual placement awards are presented.
