Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival 5K
The event is a timed 5K run and walk held on the hard packed sand at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach, Florida, on April 11, 2026. It includes a separate Kid's Sand Dash for children and is presented as part of the Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival, which runs March 27 to April 12, 2026. The race takes place on a north out and back course along the shoreline.
Registration is limited to 300 participants and is handled through RunSignUp, with VIP early entry offered at 727CanRace.com. The race is described as non competitive and no awards will be presented.
All registrants receive a 5 inch finisher medal featuring the 2026 "United in Sand" logo, a race t shirt, one free ticket per bib for the 24,000 square foot sand sculpture exhibition tent, and a goody bag provided by CFY Pinellas. Proceeds benefit Clearwater For Youth CFY Pinellas, an organization established in 1972 that supports youth athletics, education and water safety in Pinellas County.
The Sugar Sand Festival program during the 17 day event includes live music, venue performers and nightly fireworks at Pier 60 at sunset.
