Clawson Freedom Run 5K Run/Walk
The Clawson Freedom Run 5K is a historic evening event first run in 1979. The course travels along tree lined streets through Clawson's neighborhoods, where participants may be cheered on by residents. The start and finish line is at Clawson City Park.
A free 1 mile Kids Fun Run is held on a wood chip path around City Park before the 5K. Awards for the kids run are given to the top three boys and girls aged 12 and under.
For the 5K, awards include medals for the top 50 male and female finishers, trophies for the top three male and female finishers, and a trophy for first place in every age group.
Race day registration is available. A registration deadline exists to guarantee a participant shirt. The event includes a separate Firecracker Mile race on July 4th, and a combined prize is offered for the top finishers in both races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
