Event Format and Participation
The Claro Winter Evening Street Series consists of six informal evening street orienteering events held on Wednesday evenings. Each event is a 45-minute score event using the MapRun app with simple line street maps. For each event, participants meet at or near a pub, with the option to join for a social drink or food afterward. Guidance on using the app and orienteering is available for newcomers before the start. Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Event Locations and Schedule
The events are held in various locations on different dates. The listed locations include Knaresborough, South West Harrogate, Starbeck, Boston Spa, and Bilton. Exact details for each event location are published on the organizer's website closer to the date.
Entry Fees and Information
The entry fee is £4.00 for senior participants. A £1.00 supplement applies for non-members of British Orienteering. The fee for juniors and students is £1.00, with juniors classified as under 25 years old on December 31st. Results are published on the Claro Orienteering Club website.
