CityTrail Loppet
CityTrail Loppet is an urban trail run on May 17, 2026 that travels from Theodore Wirth Park to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. The event is point to point and finishes at the Sculpture Garden. Proceeds support the Loppet Foundation.

The course uses a mix of ski trail, singletrack and asphalt. Runners begin at the Trailhead area in Wirth Park; the 5K start is near the corner of Theo Wirth Parkway and Highway 55. Shuttle buses run from the Parade Stadium parking area to the Trailhead before the races; there are no post race shuttles back to the Trailhead.
On course aid stations will provide water, Gatorade and Gu gels at published locations. All races offer a bag drop with marked bag tags and bag claim at the finish. Live athlete tracking and results are available through the Mtec Results app.
The finish area at the Sculpture Garden includes a post race party with music, food options and a free Pryes Brewing beer for participants 21 plus plus non alcoholic options. Awards are presented to the top three overall in male, female and non binary categories; age group results are posted online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
