City of Trees Marathon
The City of Trees Marathon takes place in Boise, Idaho on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 733 S Pioneer Street. The event offers multiple in-person distances and a virtual option that allows participants to complete any distance.

- Virtual any distance entry available
In-person registrations opened in November 2025 and close May 1, 2026 for the listed road races; fees for in-person events range from $35 to $65 (Marathon $65, Half Marathon $55, 10k $45, 5k $35). Virtual registration opens March 16, 2026 and remains open through the event; the virtual fee is $45 and proof of completion is not required but is encouraged.
Registered participants receive a long sleeve t-shirt and finisher food and drink; all City of Trees runners receive a finisher's award. Registrants who register after October 1, 2026 are not guaranteed a shirt.
Course planning uses the Boise Greenbelt system. The river and Greenbelt can present variable conditions including sidewalk construction, sinkholes, flooding, and wildlife, any of which may delay progress or require route changes.
