Lincoln Marabank 2027 Saturday
Vigilantes Maravan CIC presents the Lincoln Marabank, returning to Burton Waters for a third year. The event is a seven hour timed running event on a flat, traffic-free canal towpath alongside the Roman-built Fossdyke. The course is measured and offers lap medals for every runner who completes at least one lap.
Runners can use the event to try a new distance, train for a longer race, or complete longer distances including:
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra marathon
Marathon entrants may run an approved marathon distance that is likely to be just over the standard distance, and there is a possibility of an early start option for marathon runners to allow additional time to complete the distance. The event is held from the race headquarters at Burton Waters near Lincoln and is operated under an ARC permit. A well stocked aid station will be provided.
Practical details include a maximum of 50 entrants, a minimum age of 18 years, and entries that close on 20 February 2027. Entry fees are shown as Affiliated £30.00 and Unaffiliated £32.00. Organiser terms state that entries are non refundable, transfers are possible with at least seven days notice, and deferrals may be offered in cases of exceptionally poor weather.
