2026 Citizens Run Against Cancer
The Citizens Run Against Cancer is an annual fundraising event held in Victoria, Texas. Organized by the Citizens Medical Center, the race raises funds to support local patients receiving treatment for cancer. The event features multiple distance options for participants:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Half Marathon Relay (13.1 miles)
- 5K
The race course is designed to highlight the central areas of Victoria. The route begins in Downtown Victoria, passes through Riverside Park, and reaches its conclusion at DeLeon Plaza. Participants in the Half Marathon and Relay categories must complete the course within a four-hour time limit.
In addition to the running events, the race features a team contest and parade where participants can showcase costumes and team names. Awards are presented for the most spirited group, the most creative name, and the best costume. Packet pickup is organized over two days prior to the event at the Citizens HealthPlex.
Parking is available at the One O'Connor Plaza garage for early arrivals, as well as on various side streets surrounding the course. All proceeds from registration fees and sponsorships stay within the local community to assist patients at the Kathryn O'Connor Regional Cancer Center.
