Run for Freedom Obstacle 5K
This event is an entry-level, tough-mudder style trail race held at Patriot Park in Victoria, TX. The course includes over ten obstacles, a mix of permanent and popup structures, mud pits and a cold plunge. The path is accessible by foot year-round and is mowed starting in February.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- Obstacle 5K
Participants in the obstacle category receive a paper wristband at check-in. Obstacles may be skipped by performing 20 burpees and remain eligible for awards; alternatively a participant may surrender the obstacle wristband and continue the race without obstacle credit. Teams must finish together to be eligible for team awards.
Awards recognize the first three finishers in adult (20 years and older) and youth (under 20 years) divisions for each category. The finish area is open to the community and includes health and wellness vendors and food trucks. Early packet pick-up is available the night before at Restoration House Ministries Gleanings Resale Shop.
All proceeds benefit Restoration House Ministries, supporting young women and young fathers in recovery from trauma, abuse, and addiction, and assisting people experiencing homelessness with pathways to restoration. The event has a T-shirt deadline of March 28. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
