About the race
The Circles in the Park 5K is the third annual fundraiser held at Clinton Nature Preserve in Villa Rica, GA, located at 8720 Ephesus Church Road. The event includes a trail 5K and a separate 1 mile fun run on courses used for cross country events.
Registration uses tiered pricing with early bird rates and increases as the event approaches. Same day sign ups are handled via phone and cash is not accepted. Timing and results are recorded using chipped bibs. The event runs rain or shine except in the case of thunderstorms.
Awards and participant provisions are provided: medals are given to the top three finishers in each age group, scored in ten year increments. All finishers receive a race shirt and there are snacks and drinks available after the finish. Dogs are allowed on course when kept on leash and when owners clean up after them.
Proceeds benefit Circles Douglas County, which supports families in Douglas County by matching them with mentors who help with personal finance, employment, and communication skills. Multiple donation options are available, and sponsorships at $100 or more include name or company placement on event shirts and additional benefits.
