Friday Night Lights 5K and Festive Fun Run
Friday Night Lights 5K and the Festive Fun Run take place in Carrollton at 302 West Georgia Dr on the University of West Georgia campus during the Winter West program. The event features two running options:
- 5K
- 1 mile Festive Fun Run
Registration opens on November 4, 2026 and closes on December 4, 2026. Fees are listed per event with the 5K at $30.00 and the Festive Fun Run at $25.00. Registered participants receive a new festive LED light up beanie, jingle bells to wear along the course, and pizza and water after the race. Pizza options include cheese, pepperoni, or veggie.
Logistics noted for the event include race check in in the Campus Center lower level room 121, meet location for the Festive Fun Run at the Campus Center patio, and parking available at UWG Campus Center or Bookstore lots on West Georgia Drive.
Awards are planned for best holiday and best light up outfits in adult and youth divisions. The 5K awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top five male and female finishers in these age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 39, and 40 and up.
